Calculate the gas volume obtained (STP)
$n_{acid}$ $=$ $\frac{0.30}{60}$ $=$ $0.005\; mol$
$n_{iron}$ $=$ $\frac{2.8}{56.8}$ $=$ $0.05\; mol$
Simplified equation:
$Fe$ $+$ $2CH_3COOH$ $\rightarrow$ $Fe(CH_3COO)_2$ $+$ $H_2$
Stoechiometric proportions:
$1\; mol$ $+$ $2\; mol$ $\rightarrow$ $1\; mol$ $+$ $1\; mol$
Limiting agent: Acetic acid
$0.005\; mol$ acid give $0.005\; mol$ $H_2$
$V_{H_2}$ $=$ $0.005\cdot 22.4$ $=$ $0.112\;L$
