The solutions
Exercise 12
Compute the mass of sulfuric acid contained in $100g$ of a $4.84$ molar solution ($d$ $=$ $1.065$) !
Let's refer to the solution by $S$:
$\rho_S$ $ =$ $1.065\frac{g}{cm^3}$
1) $V_S$ $=$ $\frac{m_S}{\rho_S}$ $=$ $\frac{100}{1,065}$ $=$ $93.90 cm^3$ $=$ $0.0939 L$
2) $n_{H_2SO_4}$ $=$ $V_S \cdot [H_2SO_4]$ $=$ $0.0939 \cdot 4.84$ $=$ $0.454 mol$(Units!)
3) $m_{H_2SO_4}$ $=$ $n_{H_2SO_4} \cdot M_{H_2SO_4}$ $=$ $0.454 \cdot98$ $=$ $44.54g$
